WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
Step 1: Dialogue
Every initial evaluation starts out with a deep dive into who you are as a person, what you enjoy doing, and a history of your current pain or dysfunction. This is without a doubt the most important part of our evaluation, and what sets the stage for our exam and treatment of you as an individual.
Step 2: Testing
Now that we’ve gained valuable insight into who you are and what you’re dealing with, we will run you through a series of tests and measures. This portion of our exam is very investigative in nature, as we will be trying to see how your current pain or dysfunction is influenced. How does it respond to certain movements, loads, or other activities we put it through? This will give us a solid baseline of where you’re at.
Step 3: Treatment
After we get through the dialogue and testing portion of our exam, we will move into treatment. We will now have a good understanding of the specific joints, muscles, and tissues that are involved. Tailored manual therapy and exercise will be given at this point, and we’ll likely start seeing improvements in pain and movement during this first treatment session.
Step 4: Plan
Your first visit will end with a recap of what was discovered during the dialogue, testing, and treatment portions of your exam. Finally, we will set you up with a home program consisting of specific exercises, mobility drills, and soft tissue work that you can do on your own in between your future appointments. By the end of your appointment you should have a clear understanding of what’s going on, what we’re going to do to fix it, and how long we foresee it taking to resolve.
HOW WE TREAT

Exercise Prescription
Through extensive evaluation and diagnosis of your condition, we prescribe specific exercises and mobility drills to allow your body to adapt and heal.
Among the various methods we use for gaining strength, one of our favorites is called blood flow restriction training (BFR).
Manual Therapy
Pain and dysfunction can effect the way your muscles and other tissues act while at rest and during movement. We use manual therapy techniques such as massage and thrust manipulation to get these tissues feeling and working better.

Dry Needling
Dry needling can have an unbelievable effect on pain relief and performance for those who have been suffering with pain caused by dysfunction in their muscles and/or nervous system.

Lifestyle Counseling
Nutrition, sleep quality, and stress management all have effects on pain and dysfunction. That’s a fact.
We’re here to assist in cleaning up any lifestyle factors that are likely playing a role.
